It has been a remarkably busy month so far! Max started gymnastics two weeks ago, and he loves it! We've been trying to get him into more organized activities lately, but we've been super slow actually getting him registered for stuff. I think I'm subconsciously sad to see him out of the house more...
But, back on track, he loves his new gymnastics class. It amazes me to watch him when he's there; he's so good! I know that everyone's kids are better for others, but it is still an amazing site to behold. He sits in line and waits his turn and follows directions, and then he comes home and acts like the crazy monkey he really is. He makes me smile, when I'm not too tired from chasing him around :)
Max has definitely inherited Darreck's gross motor ability. He's absolutely fearless when it comes to doing rolls, walking on the beam, and jumping on the trampoline. I took gymnastics for, like, six months when I was a kid, and I was horrible at it! I cannot put my feet over my head, but Max has none of my inhibitions Most importantly, he's having fun, and that makes me happy!
Love my boys, love my life!

Luke's 6 Month Stats
Luke went and saw the doctor Tuesday, but I've been a little behind the times getting his stats up. The problem is that he's also been very sick this week, so we've been busy dealing with that. He went in to the doctor Friday and was put on antibiotics, an inhaler, and a topical ointment for a strange rash that developed along with his cold/sinus/ear infection. Poor kid has gotten creamed by colds this year! I feel so bad for him...
However, his scheduled checkup on Tuesday went much, much better. He weighed in at 17 pounds 8 ounces and 26-1/4 inches long. Our big, little chunk! However, he's still well below Max's 21 pounds at 6 months. We just seem to make big kiddos :)
Now, instead of having fun with our boys, I'm dealing with a flare up of my previous back injury. Nothing frustrates me more than not being able to do whatever I want, whenever I want, especially with my boys. I feel like I can't be a good mother when I can't actively play with my kids. Hopefully this latest soreness will pass quickly so I can get back to playing with the people who matter most!
