Overdue Update

So, I'm still pregnant. That sums up my life right now. However, Max has been doing some fun things! We went to our first Voyagers baseball game last Thursday, after months and months of anticipation. The nachos were wonderful and our team won- what more could you want? Then yesterday, Darreck and Max went to Max's first movie at the movie theater. The boys went and saw Madagascar 3 and, despite my initial misgivings, Max was a little angel all the way through it. Of course, that could have something to do with him getting popcorn and candy and pop the entire time. Needless to say, he didn't go to bed wonderfully, but it was worth it in the long run. I can't believe he's getting so big. As we were walking to the park yesterday, Darreck and I commented that he's truly a kid now- not a baby or even a toddler. We have an honest to goodness kid. When did that happen?

Double Bonus Day

I was doing so well with the blog for awhile there, but then my 3rd trimester caught up with me and I haven't felt like doing much of anything lately. But, today I had to do at least a short post because we have two wonderful things to celebrate today- it's our anniversary and Father's Day!

So, to my wonderful husband:
You are amazing and wonderful and perfect for me. I'm so lucky to call you my husband, and our children (all 1 and 3/4 of them) couldn't ask for a better daddy. I love to watch you play baseball with Max and teach him how to ride his bike. I love that you're always willing to get up in the morning before me and grab me snacks when I'm too lazy to go up the stairs. I love that you're willing to work hard for us, but that you also always complain about having to be away. I love that you want to learn from the past while still preserving traditions for the future. I love that you make up songs to make Max laugh, and I love that you get frustrated with inanimate objects when you hurt yourself. I love that you can drive me absolutely crazy and then always manage to say something that makes me smile in spite of myself.

I'm looking forward to the rest of our children and having grandchildren. I'm looking forward to new houses and new cars and new jobs. I'm looking forward to arguing about the same dumb things and finding even more things we have in common. I'm looking forward to every birthday and holiday and family vacation. I'm looking forward to serving missions and travelling the world and puttering around the house with you. Above all else, I'm glad that we have eternity to really get to know each other.

Happy father's day and happy anniversary!

Love,
Heather
