I'm a little late starting off the blog this year, but at least I have good news to post first thing! Darreck was promoted this week to supervising counselor at the Montana School for the Deaf and Blind. The former supervisor, stepped down after over 40 years, and now Darreck has the chance to step into a great legacy. We're certainly excited as a family, but it's also going to mean some more changes- more sacrifices. Darreck's new contract will be longer, which means more working during the summer, and his days off will change next year, which could mean a major change to my teaching schedule. We'll have to see how it all goes, but mostly right now we're excited to see how things shape up for our family over the coming months.
We're so proud of him for how hard he works, both to support our family and to improve the lives of special needs children, young adults, and their families throughout the entire state. It's so cool that he can spend his career making our corner of the world a little bit better.
