Darreck is officially a quarter-century old, and we celebrated yesterday with a very full day. We started off the morning with Darreck opening the watch Max picked out for him and then went to the Farmer's Market, adhering to Saturday tradition. Next, we went to the mall to have Darreck's new watch re sized. After lunch, we went swimming then invited my dad over for dinner- rotisserie chicken and Darreck's favorite cream-cheese and chocolate dessert. Mini-golfing and a walk around our neighborhood rounded out the evening, and then we watched a movie after putting Max to bed. Wow, that was even exhausting to write! I still haven't recovered today, but it was really fun to cram all of Darreck's favorite things into one day.
Max and I are so lucky to have such a wonderful daddy and husband in our lives. His birthday was so much fun because we got to spend the day as a family. It was a beautiful, sun-drenched day and we spent it laughing and talking and making wonderful memories.
Happy birthday, Dee! We love you!
