Birthday Party Redux~Grandma-Great Home!!!

Saturday Grandma-Great returned home from her mission in Salt Lake City. She's been gone for 18 months, and while we're incredibly proud of her for her service, we're also super excited to have her home! It was great to see her again, and Max has been over the moon to have someone new to tell his stories to.

Also, on Saturday, Memorial Day, we had a family birthday party for Max. We were waiting until Grandma-Great was home, and we had a simple lunch with presents and cake over at our house. Darreck's parents and his brothers Ben and Bryan came as well as my parents, Kayla, and Grandma-Great. Max's big present this year was a bike from Darreck and me, but he also got a year's supply of clothes from my parents. Since they just got back from Salt Lake, my mom and grandma apparently went a little nuts shopping there. Not that I'm complaining. The important part was that Max had a great time and we got to celebrate his wonderful little life!
