Max got his very first pet today on his nine month birthday. We got him a betta fish, even though he's not the least bit interested in him. The reasoning was that we needed something to make white noise in his room so he would sleep better. We've been using a vaporizer, but that makes the house muggy and all the humidifiers we looked at were too quiet. So, today at Petco we got the brillant idea to get a small aquarium with a filter and see how that works. I'll let you know if it makes any difference in his sleepling habits. Besides, I like having animals in the house. Our family just seems more complete that way. And, in case you didn't guess from the title, our newest family member's name is Mo- partially in homage to Max's nickname Maximo and partially because that's the one syllable he can say clearly.
