Day 2 was the actual reunion, and it did get better from here on out. We went to Sacrament meeting in the morning then went to Tautphaus Park in the afternoon to meet the family. My Grandma Necia had driven up from Salt Lake, my Grandma Hess was there, and so were Bryce and Tina with their kids Daniel and Dawntae with their families. Tina's mom (Grandma Johnson to her grandkids) also came. We had food and the food was good, but it was 95 degrees the entire day. So different compared to the freezing temperatures last year! To break up the day, we took the kids on a few small carnival rides they have at the park and then to the zoo.
It was nice to see the family again; I only see that side of the family about once a year. It also happened to be Dallas' (Dawntae's oldest child) 9th birthday. We had cake and presents, and overall a lot of fun. The trip, despite all the craziness of the first day, was definitely worth it to see the family.
